When setting up a project on the Crowdfunder platform, you have the option to create a fundraiser or a rewards project. Here we explain the key features of both to help you choose the best option for you or your organisation.

First, choose between a charity or personal fundraiser.

This is a donation only project where funds raised (minus transaction fees) go straight to your chosen charity. We'll add the Gift Aid too.

Choose from over 20,000 registered charities on our platform and get set up in minutes without the need to add your personal banking details. Your project will automatically switch to always on when it closes.

We do not charge platform fees on projects using our charity fundraiser service. Instead, we give your supporters the option to donate a little extra to invest in our platform, allowing us to offer this service at no cost to the recipient charities.

Please note that transaction fees will apply.

If you are a charity and would like to accept donations directly from fundraisers or directly from donors, find out how to set up your page on our platform.

This is a donation only project that is set to flexible funding. It's also the easiest and quickest way to raise money for a good or unexpected cause, such as medical, funeral, education or veterinary bills. Please make sure your project complies with our guidelines and terms and conditions before you start.

Personal fundraisers are automatically set to run for four weeks.

Here's our guide to setting up a fundraiser.

Please note that transaction fees will apply.

If you want to apply for extra funding or add rewards to your project, please select this option. Rewards crowdfunding is designed for individuals or organisations wanting to make their ideas happen. You could be working alone or as part of a start-up, social enterprise or non-profit community group. All of the project options below use the rewards crowdfunding model.

Please note that both platform and transaction fees will apply.

If you're running a rewards crowdfunder, you can add as many rewards as you like, apply for extra funding, and choose between flexible funding and all or nothing. You can also set your project duration.

Rewards projects can take advantage of the following crowdfunding models.

Multipliers allow supporters to fundraise on your behalf. The money they raise will automatically go to your project. Anyone can join in, including your friends, family, colleagues or people in your community.

Community shares is an effective way to raise money for projects that benefit a particular community. They're an increasingly popular way to secure the long-term future of community businesses.

Big impact crowdfunding is designed to help projects that drive social change and have the potential to gather a big crowd. They also receive one-to-one coaching.
