How to create a Financial Passport

Find out about creating and downloading your Financial Passport, as part of the Passport to Investment programme

Updated over 6 months ago

Passport to Investment is a new programme hosted by Crowdfunder which allows organisations to create a Financial Passport that can be shared easily with potential investors.

Setting up a Financial passport on Crowdfunder is fast and simple. Sign in to your account, fill out the application in the +Extra funding and programmes dashboard and submit!

Once completed, you'll be able to view and share your financial passport with social investors.

Steps to create your Financial Passport

1. From your dashboard, click Find out more β†’ to see the +Extra funding and programmes your project has been matched with.

πŸ“ Note: If you are not seeing this option for Passport for Investment, it could be because the organisation type you have selected when creating your project is not a good fit for the programme.

2. From this page, you can begin the application form or edit if you've already started.

3. You now need to complete the form, making sure that you take the time to fill out each answer carefully. You can save your progress as you go, so you can come back work on your answers at a later time. Simply scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save whenever you like.

4. Once you have completed the form, you can click the Submit button to finish the process.

Once successfully submitted, you'll see a confirmation message on the page.

5. Next you'll receive an email to the same email address you used to create your project on Crowdfunder. The email will have the subject 'Application Submitted'.

When you open this email, you'll see a few details such as your project name and the date you submitted your application for Passport to Investment. Beneath that, there's a button labelled View Financial Passport.

Clicking this will take you to a page on Crowdfunder where you can download your Financial Passport.

6. On the right of this page there's an option labelled Download β†’, under the Actions section.

7. Your download will then begin. If it doesn't begin downloading automatically, you can also click the link to download manually.

Open the downloaded file to view your Financial Passport, which you can then share with interested social investors.
