Crowdpurr offers the ability to set the language that your crowd sees on both the Participant View and the Presentation View.
The Participant View is the display of the Experience that your crowd uses to interact on their devices while the Presentation View is the optional display of the Experience that typically gets projected on a central screen for all of the crowd to see. Both the Participant View and Presentation View make up the displays that your crowd can visibly see during your even. When you set a Crowd Language, these two crowd-facing views will get updated with the chosen language.
Does the language also get updated on the Experience Dashboard No. Currently, the Experience Dashboard, the main app where you configure and run your experience, is English-only. We are working on supporting language for our entire app. However, your crowd does not actually see the Experience Dashboard. Your crowd can only see the Participant View and Presentation View, which both support multiple languages.
Setting the Crowd Language
To edit the Crowd Language of your Experience, first, navigate to the green Settings tab on the Experience Dashboard. Next, find the Language Settings box and select your desired Crowd Language from the drop-down.
Language Settings on the Experience Dashboard
Once you select a different language, the Participant View and Presentation View will update to the chosen language.
Are my questions and answers also automatically translated? No, your actual questions and answers are not translated. You must manually type this content in your desired language for your crowd.
Which languages are supported? Presently, Crowdpurr only offers language support for the previous languages. For language requests, please feel free to reach out at help@crowdpurr.com with your desired language request as we'd be happy to assist you further.
