When you're ready to stop further interactions from your crowd on your Experience, you should finish and finalize it. This will stop all interactions and update the crowd's Participant View and Presentation View with a message that the "Experience has ended."
Finishing your Experience is useful when you no longer want your crowd to use the Experience and you want them to focus their attention back on your presentation, another topic, etc.
How can I clear out my test responses? When you want to clear out any test results and reset your Experience for your actual live event, you must first Finish your Experience. Once you finish an Experience, you'll then have the option of resetting it.
Finishing Your Experience
To Finish your Experience, simply click the smaller circular red Stop button under the Playback Controls heading on the Experience Dashboard. This will stop all interaction from your crowd.

Experiences don't run out! Feel free to start, pause, stop, restart, or reset your Experiences as many times as you want since Experiences never "run out." You have 30 days of access under all Premium Plans to design and test your Experiences. Your Experience Limit simply refers to how many unique Experiences you can have created on your account at the same time.
Your Trivia Game is now Finished and your crowd can no longer answer questions. All Participant Views will now show a Game Finished screen like below:

Resetting Your Experience
Now that your Experience is finished, you can run it again for another "dry run" for testing purposes or your actual live event; however, you'll need to first reset it. Resetting will set your Experience back to the Ready state. This will update the Presentation View and your crowd's crowd's Participant Views to an "Experience Will Begin Shortly" message. Below, we'll learn about options for handling existing crowd responses.
To reset your Experience, simply click on the circular blue Reset button under the Playback Controls heading on the Experience Dashboard. This will open the "Reset Experience..." dialog where you'll have two button options:

Clear Crowd Responses
Click the red Clear Crowd Responses button if you want to clear out all the current crowd responses. This option is ideal if you want to reset your Experience to a clean state so it can be run again as a brand-new Experience. This is the most common type of reset and will also set your game's state back to Ready.
Clearing crowd responses is permanent! Before you select Clear Crowd Responses, make sure you don't need this data. If you were just testing your Experience, then selecting this option is fine. But if you ran an actual live event Experience and need your Crowd Responses (e.g. vote results, scores, player info, etc.) make sure you export this information first before resetting your Experience and selecting Clear Crowd Responses.
Remove Participant Accounts
Along with clearing out the Crowd Responses, you can also enable the Remove Participant Accounts setting. When this option is toggled On, selecting the Clear Crowd Responses option will also remove the participant accounts tied to the Experience. Participants will be required to sign in again and create a new participant account.
Optional Remove Participant Accounts? setting
Please note, enabling the Remove Participant Accounts setting will also remove any data that the current Experience's list of participants has submitted for any of your Crowdpurr Experiences.
Keep Crowd Responses
Click the purple Keep Crowd Responses button if you want to reset the Experience's state back to Ready but still want to keep the existing crowd responses. There are some cases where this is useful, for example, when you want to re-run a trivia game for new players in your crowd but have them compete against previous players' scores.
After clicking on one of the above buttons, your Experience has now been reset. To start it again, you'll need to click the green Start button, as illustrated to the right. |
Does resetting remove my questions and answers? No, resetting your Experience only removes your existing Crowd Responses (if you choose that option, of course!) and sets its status back to the Ready to Start state. Your written questions and answers all remain so your Experience can be run again.
