In addition to adding live streams directly from Crowdpurr and connecting OBS to Crowdpurr streaming, you can embed third-party video content on participants' mobile devices using YouTube or Twitch.

This is great for embedding a YouTube video or live stream to display on participant devices. Alternatively, you can also embed a Twitch video or live stream.

With this on-demand video functionality, you can dynamically add:

  • Static intro videos uploaded to YouTube or Twitch

  • YouTube videos for specific questions, segments, rounds, etc.

  • Celebrity messages and recordings uploaded to YouTube

  • YouTube Live streams when you're streaming to YouTube instead of Crowdpurr

  • Twitch live streams when you're streaming to Twitch instead of Crowdpurr

  • Static outro videos uploaded to YouTube or Twitch

On-demand videos allow embedded content to be run at any time and will display directly on Crowdpurr's Participant View. You can add up to 10 videos or streams that can be triggered any time from the Streaming tab.

What happens when the video ends? Whenever an added on-demand video from YouTube or Twitch ends, it will automatically disappear from participant devices. This will either happen at the inputted End time set for the video or when the video reaches its actual end.

Add the YouTube Video to Crowdpurr

Click on the blue Add Video button to add the YouTube video. The video will be added to your set of on-demand videos and streams. You can add up to ten videos.

Adding Live Streams Versus Static Videos

You can add YouTube live streams the same way you add static videos. Just click the Live Stream tab in the pop-up dialog after clicking Add YouTube.

Adding Your Own YouTube Live Streams

Adding your own YouTube live stream requires having a YouTube account that allows the embedding of live streams. There are certain requirements for this. We suggest streaming directly in Crowdpurr using Crowdpurr Streaming.

Creating your own YouTube Live stream or Twitch stream is beyond the scope of this article. However, YouTube is a great resource for learning how to create your streams on YouTube or Twitch.
