Do I want to include URLs?

It depends! Most of the time, you don't need to.

If you want to search for links that include crowdtangle.com, you actually don't need to include URLs. crowdtangle.com (and anything.anything) is considered a domain, and domain searches are always done automatically.

However, there are two cases that are not searched automatically, where you might want to include URLs to get what you want:

You are looking for text INSIDE a URL

For example, let's say you're a publisher and your articles are structured like crowdtangle.com/your_name/1234.txt.
If you want to search for the text "your_name" or "1234.txt," our system will not do that automatically. But it will if you include URLs!

You want to search inside query strings

A query string is the gibberish at the end of a URL, the stuff after a question mark:
https://crowdtangle.com/resources?utm_source=facebook

If you just learned about query strings, you probably don't want to search inside them (but you can always learn more). But if you do want to search inside them, then include URLs.
