The Model step in data onboarding automatically profiles and detects the structure of your datasets, providing insights into data characteristics and schedules to ensure smooth integration and high data quality.

Once you have selected the file patterns for your data product, Crux will review the matching data to display key details, such as:

  • Data structure: Identifies datasets and tables that form the foundation of your data product.

  • Delivery date range: Specifies the data's time window.

  • File size overview: Includes minimum, maximum, average, and total sizes of your data files.

  • Extraction Schedule: Offers insights into data update frequency, guiding the configured schedule during the subsequent step of the onboarding process.

After clicking the Model button, Crux will automatically profile your data, detecting essential elements to ensure a clean and reliable data delivery structure, including:

  • Schema for each table: Full visibility into the organization and format of your data.

  • Normalization settings: Ensure consistency and compatibility across diverse datasets and help you customize the normalization of the source data.

With these features, you can confidently structure your data for downstream integration, mitigating risks related to data quality, diverse formats, and complex data delivery schedules.
