If you activate full CryptoBooks AI error handling in your profile, or if you choose to only activate it on a specific connection from the error resolution flow, negative balances will be fixed automatically.
In this article you can learn about the logic CryptoBooks AI uses to solve negative balances. These rules are applied only when you delegate error handling to the AI.
🔴 INSERIRE UN LINK ALLA SPIEGAZIONE TEORICA DI CHE COSÈ UN NEGATIVE BALANCE
One negative balance at a time
Fixing negative balance requires a chronological approach: starting from the oldest appearance of a negative balance, CryptoBooks AI will create an incoming fix transaction, then calculate all balances again and check for other negative balances until they have all been fixed, creating other subsequent incoming transactions.
Each incoming fix transaction will have a price of 0,00.
This aligns with the fiscal rules of most countries, which require that if the acquisition price is unknown, it must be recorded as zero.
This approach is fiscally prudent because it ensures compliance and avoids using potentially inaccurate values.
It also means that, when the asset is eventually sold or disposed of, the entire selling price will be treated as capital gain.
The date of the incoming fix transaction will be set one minute before the moment where each negative balance occurred.
