FAQ

  • Are bans always permanent?

Cheating bans are always permanent.

For other violations, we consider the severity of the violation and the player’s previous enforcement history. Repeated or severe violations may result in a permanent ban. This includes every account that's connected to the same owner: If you get banned for teamkilling on your main account, and continue violating our Code of Conduct on your alt account, this will count as a second infraction and punished accordingly.

  • What does behavioral mean?

This includes all other infractions of the Code of Conduct, for example teamkilling your random teammates. Please refer to the appropriate page for full context about what's not welcome in the game.

  • Is being reported a lot a reason to get banned?

A high number of reports alone is not a reason for a ban. Before taking enforcement action, we verify whether there has been an actual violation of our Code of Conduct.

  • Are the bans automatic?

Some violations may be detected by automated systems, while others are identified through manual reviews. Where appropriate, cases are reviewed before action is taken.

  • How are reports being reviewed?

In-game and Customer Support reports are reviewed by our agents. Reports submitted through Customer Support may include additional evidence or context that can help us investigate a case more directly, and guarantee a manual review. While an in-game report does not guarantee a manual review in all situations, every single day we will manually review profiles that are reported a lot, and look into their data. When a violation is confirmed, appropriate action is taken.

  • How can a ban be appealed?

Ban appeals can be submitted through Customer Support. After the required information has been provided, an agent reviews the appeal. Appeals must be submitted by the account owner.

  • Why are banned players not receiving detailed proof?

For cheating-related bans, we cannot disclose specific detection methods or detailed evidence, as doing so could help cheat developers or cheaters evade our detection systems.

For bans related to other violations, we provide enough information, where possible, to help the player understand what behavior must be avoided. That said, we will never reveal the identity of the reporter, or information that might imply it.

  • Why aren’t banned accounts publicly named?

To protect player privacy and comply with applicable data protection requirements, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we do not publicly disclose account information that could identify individual players. Instead, we publish anonymized enforcement statistics to provide transparency without exposing personal data.
