What is NDVI?
Updated over a year ago

DecipherAg uses Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) from two satellites. NDVI gives a value between 0 and 1 representing the intensity of the greenness detected in the Infrared and Near Infrared spectrums.

NDVI does not always have a perfect correlation to biomass, crop vigour or yield, but it can be used in-season and retrospectively to highlight potential variability.
