How do I assign sample results to a paddock?
Updated over a year ago

Historical non-georeferenced samples can be assigned to a whole paddock or a specific site.

 Navigating from the SAMPLES menu:

  • When in 'SAMPLES', select a site or paddock on the map and the sample results panel will slide up from the bottom.

  • If have any unassigned results, click the 'add unlocated samples' button. Then select the result you wish you link to that paddock/site and click the 'link' button. Your sample result will now be linked to the site or paddock you selected.

Note: samples can be unlinked if a mistake is made.

Navigating from within MyData:

  • MyData can be accessed from a variety of ways - one of which is to press the 'manage soil samples' button on the right-hand side of your screen when in the 'SAMPLES' screen. This gives an expanded view of the soil sample data.

  • Select 'Soil Samples' or 'Plant Samples' to view all results - if you have any unassigned results click 'Add unlocated sites'.

  • You will be taken to the map view with the sample result list panel visible. Select the site or paddock you want the result assigned to, select the result and click the link button. Your sample result will now be linked to that site or paddock.

  • You can also view all unlinked samples by filtering site names so that it contains 'unlinked'.

You can also assign non-georeferenced results to a paddock or site at the time of uploading results by allocating it to the name of the paddock in the upload spreadsheet. These will be visible on the map when uploaded. By assigning results to a paddock you will be able to use and interpret historical non-georeferenced sample data to track trends soil nutrient levels over time.
