Adding Notes

Notes are a way to capture your own information about the land by drawing points, lines, and shapes on the DecipherAg map. Notes are flexible - so you can start adding and drawing objects in a Note and then save and edit them or add more later on.

  • Click on the 'IMAGERY' icon on the left-hand side tool bar

  • Click on the 'NOTES' button on the top right-hand side of the screen

  • Click on 'ADD NOTE', name your layer and press save.

From here, three options will appear: a pin icon, line icon, and a shape iconMultiple pins, lines, and shapes can be added to a single note.

Pin Icon 

  • Select the pin icon to add a pin to a specific point on the map. 

  • Give your pin a name (and an optional description, e.g. “Grain bins”) and click Save changes.

Line Icon 

  • Select the line icon to add a line to the map. 

  • To start drawing tap or click the map anywhere and move your finger or mouse around to create a line. 

  • Double tap or double click where you want to stop drawing. Give your line a name (and an optional description eg. “Fence line removed 2017”). 

  • Select a colour and line thickness, then click Save changes.

Shape Icon 

  • Select the shape icon to add a shape to the map. 

  • To start drawing tap or click the map anywhere, then tap or click at each point of the shape you want to draw. 

  • To complete the shape, double tap or click on the starting point, give it a name (and optional description eg. “NE paddock”). 

  • Select a colour and shape opacity, then click the Save changes button.

  • During creation, you can discard your objects at any time to start over by tapping or clicking the Discard button.

  • To view or hide a layer, click on the blue eye.

  • To download, edit or delete whole layers, click the three dots on the side panel of the layer.

  • To edit or delete Note objects you’ve created, click on the layer they are in, click on the object and then click on the three dots on the side panel and click edit or delete.
