How do I use the different Zone Drawing Tools?

Only available to DecipherAg Plus or Biomass+ users

  • First, navigate to zones by selecting Plan from the left-hand menu and then Zones.

  • Use the drop-down arrows on the left to show the zone files by farm, paddock, and zone.

  • Click on the three dot menu icon next to the name of the paddock you'd like to edit.

  • Select Add/ edit boundaries from the menu. This will display the edit zone toolbox on the right-hand side of the screen.

Draw

  • Draw is a freehand drawing tool. 

  • Select the zone colour you want to add to. (The drawn area will be added to the selected zone colour).

  • Hold down the left mouse button to draw the new area.

  • When you release the button the shape will auto-complete, adding a line back to starting point. 

  • You can adjust any or all of the points before saving. 

  • Click Cancel to remove the shape without saving. Click Save when you want to save the edits.

Click 

  • Click is for adding polygons and more regular shapes. 

  • Select the zone colour you want to add to. (The drawn area will be added to the selected zone colour).

  • Click once on your start point, then click each corner of the shape you wish to add. 

  • Click back on your starting point to close the polygon. 

  • You can adjust any or all of the points before saving. 

  • Click "cancel" to remove the shape without saving. Click Save when you want to save the edits.

Paint

  • Paint is ideal for adding existing areas into another zone. 

  • This will fill a shape, changing it to the selected zone. 

  • Select the zone colour you want to add to. (The painted area will be added to the selected zone colour).

  • Click inside the shape you wish to fill. 

  • Click on "save" to complete the change or "cancel" to continue without making the change.

All the tools will clip the shapes added to the edges of the zone map, so don't worry if you draw outside the lines.
