'Single' vs 'Multi' Site Sampling
'Single' vs 'Multi' Site Sampling
Updated over a week ago

'SINGLE Site Sampling:

Single site sampling involves taking a representative sample from a single site within a paddock and submitting that sample for testing. The sample should be composed of multiple soil cores from the direct vicinity of the site - the number of cores varies depending on your methodology - to cover varying conditions at the chosen location (eg. in row, between rows etc).

A paddock will likely contain a number of single sites, each of which is tested separately.

'MULTI' Site Sampling:

NOTE: Multisite sampling is not available to CSBP users

A multisite sample consists of taking the appropriate number of cores from more than one location in a paddock or zone. These samples are combined as a composite sample for analysis. Each multisite sample location is georeferenced.

Please note:

  • Paddock boundaries are required to create a multisite sample job.

  • You can have as many multisite sample jobs in a paddock (see below).

  • You cannot create multisite sample jobs over different paddocks.
