Reviewing carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) in DecipherAg

Updated over a year ago

Only available to DecipherAg Plus users

DecipherAg displays CO2e relative to yield as a way of showing the emissions relative to production and to help understand the impact of product and crop selections.

Kg of CO2e per Tonne of yield provides a relative measure of emissions across crops.

CO2e is only available to DecipherAg Plus or Biomass+ users

More detail about CO2e and how DecipherAg calculates the emissions can be found here.

To be able to view the CO2e review you need to have recorded your actuals including the products used during the season and the yield at a paddock level.

To view your CO2e review

Select 'Review' on the left-hand menu - Select 'Insights'

  1. Select the CO2e tab

  1. Select the season. The number of qualifying farms and paddocks will be shown

  2. Filter by Farm, or Crop type

On the map, each paddock will be coloured based on its CO2e value in kg per tonne of yield.

Hover on a paddock to see the details of that paddock including the rainfall and breakdown of emissions by product applied.

Within the pop-up, select "History" to view a summary of the emissions from previous seasons' crops.

In the top right of the screen is the CO2e summary.
Here you can see the total emissions from fertiliser applications in Tonnes grouped by crop type.

Hover on the column for each crop to see the breakdown of Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions.

You can expand/ collapse that box by selecting the arrows on the top right of the box.
