(And how to import external wallets/seed phrases created from third-party wallet providers (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Keplr, Phantom etc.)

ONBOARDING PROCESS

Import with Recovery Phrase

> Click on 'I already have a wallet'

> Click on 'Import with Recovery Phrase'

> Enter or paste your 12 or 24 word Recovery Phrase

> Click on 'Next'

Import with socials

> Click on 'I already have a wallet'

> Click on 'Import with socials'

How does this work?

We use Web3Auth to generate your wallet by connecting it to your social account.

How can I recover my account if I lose access?

Simply import your account by signing in with your social media account that you sign up with now, or by entering your Recovery Phrase.

Recover a legacy wallet (.json backup) (Web browser extension ONLY)

> Click on 'Recover a legacy wallet'

> Click on 'Upload'

> Select the .json backup file created with XDEFI Wallet

> Enter the password to decrypt the file

> Click on 'Next'

FROM THE WALLET INTERFACES

> Click on 'Settings'

> Click on 'Wallet Management'

> Click on 'Add account, wallet or hardware wallet'

> Click on 'Import wallet'

> Enter or paste your 12 or 24 word Recovery Phrase

> Click on 'Next'

With Socials

> Click on 'With Socials'

> Click on 'Google', 'Email' or 'X'

​Import your CTRL Wallet extension in your CTRL mobile app (Onboarding process / No hardware wallet accounts)

> Open the CTRL web browser extension

> From the Home screen, click on the QR code icon

> Click 'Next'

> Press to reveal QR code

> Open the CTRL mobile application

> During the onboarding process, click 'I already have a wallet'

> Select 'Import your CTRL Wallet extension'

> Click 'I'm ready to scan' (make sure you authorise the CTRL mobile application to access the phone's camera)

> Enter the code for your Ctrl Wallet mobile application in your CTRL extension
