. In the context of digital transactions, a MEMO or TAG refers to additional information included in a transaction so that the recipient can properly identify or process the transaction.

. Note that only some networks support this feature :

. Blockchains of the Cosmos ecosystem

. BNB Beacon Chain

. THORChain

. Ripple

. Stellar

. Tezos

(Non-exhaustive list)

. For example, if you wish to send ATOM.ATOM from your Ctrl Wallet to a centralized exchange, a MEMO/TAG will be requested so that the platform can identify the account to be credited

. However, you do not need to specify a MEMO/TAG to receive funds in your Ctrl Wallet (a null value (empty field) or any value (if required by the centralized platform) will allow you to receive your funds : Ctrl Wallet is non-custodial and decentralized)

. If you forgot to specify the MEMO/TAG when making a transaction to a centralized exchange, please contact their support by providing the transaction hash and the user number associated with you on this platform.
