This is especially useful when an activation has multiple prizes using the same prize condition.
How It Works
Without a Prize Distribution Limit, a user who qualifies for a prize condition may be eligible for multiple prizes assigned to that same condition.
For example, if a Race activation has 7 prizes assigned to Winning Team, a member of the winning team could potentially qualify for all 7 prizes.
If the Prize Distribution Limit is set to 1, each qualifying user can receive a maximum of one qualifying prize during that event.
This allows you to offer multiple prizes for the same condition while controlling how many prizes each participant can receive.
Default and Allowed Values
The Prize Distribution Limit:
Defaults to 2
Has a minimum value of 1
Has a maximum value of 99
The value represents the maximum number of qualifying prizes a user can receive during the event.
Where to Find the Setting
Race / Tug-of-War
Go to: Control → End Game stage → Prize Distribution Limit (per user, per event)
The setting appears below the End Game Timer.
Shuffle
Go to: Control → Reveal stage → Prize Distribution Limit (per user, per event)
The setting appears below the Reveal Timer.
Participation Prizes Do Not Count Toward the Limit
Participation prizes are excluded from the Prize Distribution Limit.
For example, if:
Prize Distribution Limit = 1
A user qualifies for a Participation prize
The same user qualifies for a Winning Team prize
The user can receive both prizes.
The Participation prize does not consume the user's one-prize limit.
TapIT: Race / Tug-of-War Prize Conditions
Race and Tug-of-War support four prize condition types:
Participation: Awarded based on participation and does not count toward the Prize Distribution Limit.
Winning Team: Users who selected the winning racer or winning Tug-of-War side may qualify.
Most Taps: Rewards users based on tapping performance during the event.
Consolation: Provides a prize to an eligible user who did not already receive a Winning Team or Most Taps prize. Participation prizes do not affect consolation eligibility.
TapIT: Shuffle Prize Conditions
Shuffle supports three prize condition types:
Participation: Awarded based on participation and does not count toward the Prize Distribution Limit.
Winning Team: Users who selected the winning racer or winning Tug-of-War side may qualify.
Consolation: Provides a prize to an eligible user who did not already receive a Winning Team or Most Taps prize. Participation prizes do not affect consolation eligibility.
These conditions follow the same general prize distribution behavior as they do in Race / Tug-of-War. Shuffle does not include the Most Taps condition.
Example Use Case
A client wants to offer 7 high-value prizes to members of the winning team. All 7 prizes can use the Winning Team condition. Setting the Prize Distribution Limit to 1 means:
All 7 prizes remain available for distribution.
Multiple users can receive Winning Team prizes.
An individual winner can receive no more than one qualifying prize.
A Participation prize can still be awarded separately.
This makes the feature particularly useful when you want multiple prizes available for the same outcome without allowing a single participant to collect every qualifying prize.
Prize Distribution Limit vs. Priority Prizing
Prize Distribution Limit should not be confused with Priority Prizing, which is available in products such as Bingo.
Prize Distribution Limit: Controls how many qualifying prizes one user can receive during an event.
Priority Prizing: Controls the order in which prizes are distributed. A higher-priority prize is distributed until it is depleted before the system proceeds to the next prize.
Both can help manage activations with multiple prizes, but they solve different problems.
Current Availability
Prize Distribution Limit is currently available in:
TapIT: Race/Tug-of-War
TapIT: Shuffle
PrizeIT: AR Prize Drop
The feature uses the same general per-user, per-event concept in each of the products.
