Cuez Admin is the management layer for Cuez Rundown organizations. Cuez Admin creates and maintains the group structure, workspaces, and member access that power your Rundown projects. Cuez Rundown links back to Cuez Admin whenever a user needs to manage a project, change membership, or adjust settings. Users in Rundown are directed to Admin rather than managing those things inside Rundown itself.
Deep-links from Cuez Rundown
The following actions in Cuez Rundown take you directly to the relevant page in Cuez Admin. These pages require organization owner or group admin access. See Understanding roles in Cuez Admin for more on each role.
Action in Cuez Rundown | Where you land in Cuez Admin |
New project (project switcher) | Create Rundown Project dialog, pre-scoped to the correct group |
Project settings (overflow menu) | Settings tab of the workspace |
Manage members (project header) | Access tab of the workspace |
My Account | Your Admin profile page |
No projects - Create project | Groups page |
No projects - Manage organization settings | Organization overview |
Note: Rundown projects under 'Unassigned Rundowns' cannot be selected in Cuez Admin, so deep links from Cuez Rundown do not work for them. The project still works as normal in Cuez Rundown. To manage its settings or members, drag it into a group in Cuez Admin first.
How member changes sync to Cuez Rundown
When you add, remove, or change the role of a member in Cuez Admin, the member list in all affected Rundown workspaces updates automatically.
Why project management lives in Cuez Admin
Cuez Admin is the single source of truth for organizational structure and access control across all Cuez products. This is why actions such as creating a new project or managing members send users from Rundown to Admin rather than offering a duplicate interface inside Rundown.
Creating a Rundown workspace from Cuez Admin
To create a new Cuez Rundown project:
Navigate to 'Groups' in the left sidebar.
Select the group the project should belong to.
In the Settings tab of the group detail panel, click '+ Add Rundown project'.
Name the project, choose a ‘Rundown type’ (‘Cuez Rundown’ or ‘Cuez Rundown Classic’), then choose how it is configured.
For more on the Rundown types and configuration options, see Creating and managing workspaces.
