What is a Label Column?
Label Columns in Cuez offer a way to add important information to your Episode. Labels in Columns are used to easily add selectable options to your Column and can be configured as a single or multi-select dropdown menu.
How can I manage the Label Columns in my Project?
If you have the Admin role within your Project, you will see the option to 'Add new Column', allowing you to manage the existing Columns as well as to create your own custom ones. This can also be done via the Column management from the menu on the top left of your Episode, both options bring you to the same menu.
From this menu you open the Column manager where you will see both your 'Active' and 'Archived' Columns. The 'Active' tab shows you all Columns currently available in your Episode(s). For each of these Columns you can click the three vertical dots under 'Actions' at the back of the Column, giving you the option to Edit, Archive or Delete the Column.
How can I create and configure a new Label Column?
Create a new Label Column
Creating a new Label Column to use in your Episode(s) is easy. Select 'Add a new column' in the top right of the Column manager window and select the option 'Label'.
You can then give a name to your Column.
Add labels to your Label Column
Once your Label Column is created, you can easily configure it by adding new Label options. Click on 'Add new option' and give it a name as well as a text color or text background color.
When your labels are created, you can choose to order them by grabbing the 6 dots in front of the label and drag & drop it to another position in your list.
Label options can also be removed, but keep in mind that the deleted option will be removed from all Episodes in the Project where this Label Column configuration is used. Deleted options cannot be restored.
Allow multiple selections of your labels
If you check the box 'Allow multiple selections', you will be able to select multiple labels in your Column.
Set a default Label option
When creating your Label Column, you can decide to set a default Label Option.
This default label will then be displayed in that Column, every time you create a new Block.
How to delete label options
If you want to delete a label option from the label Column, go the Column configuration and click on the 3 dots menu of the label option and select 'Delete option'.
When deleting a Label option from your Label Column configuration, all instances of that option throughout the different Episodes in your Project will be removed.
