How to search content in an Episode

Learn how to easily search and find content in your Episode, using our Search function

Search for content within your Episode

When you are working in your Episode and you need to look for specific content (Parts, Items, Blocks or Text) using keywords, you can do so by using the search function integrated in the Episode.

At the top right of your Episode, click on the magnifying glass icon (next to Automator and Prompter) and a search panel will open on the side. Alternatively, you can use a keyboard shortcut (command+F or control+F) to open the panel as well.

Once the search panel is open, you can then type your keywords to look for your content. The search function will give you results based on the content of your Episode (Parts, Items, Text & Cue Blocks).

You can access directly the Part, Item or Block that contains your searched content, by clicking on the result shown in the search panel.

Search for content within your Rundown

When using the search function in the Rundown view, the results will only show Parts, Items and Cue Blocks as the Text Blocks are only visible in Script view.

Use the same steps as described above to search content in your Rundown.

What keywords to use to look for content

When searching for content, you can use Text keywords, that will show you all Parts, Items and Blocks that contain the words in the Text or Title.

You can also use the search function with numbering to look for a Part, Item or Block with a specific number.
