Discover how to customize the News Desk layout in order to show content how you want

Updated over 4 months ago

The News Desk contains all the content created by your team, scheduled on a certain date (and time). To display this content in a way that best works for you, you can change the layout of the News Desk to fit your needs.

Choose from a 1 day view, 4 days, week, month or 'Elvis'. Most views have extra options to further customize how you prefer content to be shown, as well as options to filter the content.

Publishing Points can be shown on the side, to which you can scroll horizontally across the page. Having a combination of one of the available views, as well as Publishing Points, allows for easy creation of (sub)stories and a great overview of which content is planned to publish when and where.

Available views

1 day

The '1 day' view allows you to choose from a combination of Priorities and calendar, Priorities only, or a calendar only view. The Priorities view shows stories under their respective priorities, and the calendar view shows Events and Episodes.

Filters can be applied to this view as needed.

4 days

The '4 day' view allows you to choose from a combination of Priorities and calendar, Priorities only, or a calendar only view.

Filters can be applied to this view as needed.

Week

The 'Week' view allows you to choose from a combination of Priorities and calendar, Priorities only, or a calendar only view.

Filters can be applied to this view as needed.

Month

The 'Month' view gives a clear overview of all content scheduled across the current month. Select a story to see more details on the right.

Filters can be applied to this view as needed.

'Elvis'

The 'Elvis' (or 'All', 'Evergreens',...) view displays all content in a list. Filters can be applied to this view as needed.

Filters

For each of the views explained above, filters can be applied to further customize the content displayed. You can filter using many different properties, and you can combine multiple filters as needed. More information about filters can be found in How can I apply filters to the Storiez News Desk?

Besides the advanced filters, you can also easily select to only show content assigned to yourself.
