Gratuity

This article will cover how to display tipping options to your customer in the final payment screen of None, 15%, 20%, 25% and Custom.

Gratuity Setup Steps

Note: Curate Payments or Stripe must be configured first before completing the following steps.

Additional Note: Gratuity will be added to your final total (before taxes and after subtotals. No tax applied.)

  • To setup Gratuity on your account, click Settings from the left sidebar to view the Settings - General tab. Locate and click on Gratuity section name to access its settings.

  • Activate the Gratuity toggle. This will display tipping options to your customer in the final payment screen of None, 15%, 20%, 25% and Custom.

    Note: Gratuity will be added to your final total (before taxes and after subtotals. No tax applied.)

  • A slide out menu will appear. The only required field is the name of the new gratuity item. You may also add a line item category and account code if needed. Click the save button to complete the setup process.

    How to edit a current Gratuity item

  • Click Settings from the left sidebar to view the Settings - General tab. Locate and click on Gratuity section name to access its settings.

  • Click the three dots on the right side of the item name and click Edit Gratuity Item.

Once Gratuity has been setup, your clients will perform the same steps as before to make a payment. Once it becomes time to make the final payment, the Gratuity option will be displayed as seen below!
