Why was a transaction on my Cushion card declined?

There are a few cases that will result in a transaction being declined:

  1. The bank account or debit card you have connected to your Cushion card has insufficient funds to cover a bill payment.

    1. Resolution: add funds to your connected bank account. To make sure your bill gets paid on time, you may need to pay your bill with another method.

  2. You attempted to use your Cushion card at an unauthorized merchant.

    1. Resolution: ensure that you are only using your Cushion card for your recurring expenses, such as bills and subscriptions.

  3. You exceeded the spending limit for your Cushion card.

    1. Resolution: make arrangements to pay your bill with another method.

  4. There was a dispute filed with your bank regarding a transaction.

    1. Resolution: Withdraw the bank dispute or contact support@cushion.ai.

  5. A transaction may also be declined for reasons outlined in your Cardholder Agreement.
