I received a refund. Where is it?

When you receive a refund for an item purchased with your Cushion card, that amount will be credited to your Cushion account as 'Cash credits'. These Cash credits will then be used to pay your future bills with your Cushion card.

To see the details of your refund, simply open up the ‘Cushion Card’ tab and view the 'Cash Credit' tile. This will show the amount of credits you have available.

Please keep in mind that if the available amount appears different than your refunded purchase:

  • The refund could still be processing from the merchant, and has not fully settled into your Cushion account.

  • The 'Cash credits' have already been used to pay another bill that your virtual card is linked to.

Below are 2 examples of your 'Cash credits' applied to upcoming bills:

Example 1 -

  1. You received a refund from Klarna on 1/25 for $50 so the balance on your Cushion account is now $50.

  2. There is an upcoming bill on 1/27 that your Cushion card is linked to for $30. We will use $30 out of the $50 'Cash Credits' you have in your Cushion account.

  3. This now leaves a balance on your Cushion account of $20 that can be applied to other upcoming bills. This $20 will be listed in the 'Cash credits' tile.

Example 2 -

  1. You received a refund from Klarna on 1/25 for $80 so the balance on your Cushion account will be $80.

  2. There is an upcoming bill on 1/27 that your Cushion card is linked to for $100. We will use $80 out of the 'Cash Credits' you have in your Cushion account.

  3. This leaves the balance on your Cushion account as $0.

  4. We will charge the difference of $20 to your connected debit card and send a receipt for this bill.

We usually recommend keeping the refund in your Cushion account so it can be used to pay upcoming bills. However, if you’d still like the refund sent to your bank account, please note this process can take up to 10 days.
