SugarPixel Firmware Release Notes

To update SugarPixel:

  1. Reboot your phone

  2. Ensure you have the latest mobile app installed by checking for updates.

    1. iPhone: Open the App Store

    2. Android: Open the Play Store

  3. With the latest mobile app installed, open the app and tap your SugarPixel to connect to it.

  4. Tap the Firmware Update menu item.

    1. If you have already updated to the latest version (listed below), your SugarPixel will show that no updates are available and you can repeat steps 2-5 for each SugarPixel you own.

    2. If you are not already on the latest version, you will see the latest release available to install. Tap the install button.

  5. SugarPixel will display "UPDATE" while it is updating. This usually takes 2-3 minutes. If it has been longer than 10 minutes, it may indicate an issue with your internet connection and you can unplug SugarPixel to try again.

  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for each SugarPixel that you own.

  7. Read the release notes for the latest version below.

❗️ After any software update:

Confirm your alert, time, and quiet hours settings via the mobile app and use the Test Alert button on the Alerts screen to test your settings.

  • New delta change displays based on old readings

    • SugarPixel calculates the delta change by comparing the last 2 readings. At times, there may be a large gap between these readings, such as the last reading before a sensor change and the first reading after a sensor change. To prevent confusion, Delta displays now work similarly to “No Data“ functionality.

    • If the 2 BG readings are within 15 minutes of each other, SugarPixel displays the Delta as normal

    • If the 2 BG readings are between 15-30 minutes of each other, SugarPixel displays the Delta in blue

    • If the 2 BG readings are greater than 30 minutes of each other, SugarPixel displays “- -“ instead of the Delta.

  • Better detection to prevent errant “0” Bg values being displayed

  • Fixed night display mode with inverted displays
