You may be able to delete your Cuvva account - but there are a few things to know first.
When you can delete your account
You can delete your account if you haven’t bought a policy with us.
To do this:
Open the app.
Go to Profile.
Scroll down and tap Delete your account.
If you can’t see this option, contact support and we’ll try to help.
If you’ve bought a policy
If you’ve ever bought insurance with us, we won’t be able to delete your account straight away.
That’s because we’re required to keep certain records for legal and regulatory reasons.
This helps us:
Handle any future claims
Deal with complaints
Comply with legal requests
What happens to your data
When your account is deleted, we won’t remove all of your data.
We’ll keep some information on file, such as:
Your name and contact details
Your account history
Any quotes or policies
This data is archived and put beyond use, meaning:
It’s not used day to day
It’s only accessed if legally required
Can you create a new account later?
In most cases, yes. However, this isn’t always guaranteed. If deleting your account would stop you from creating a new one later, we’ll let you know first.
