Service email upgrades

We’re making some infrastructure upgrades to improve service emails. These changes may requires updates to existing allowing list.

These changes don't impact existing PHISH allow listing requirements which remain the same and are unchanged.

What is a service email?

A service email is anything sent from the platform that isn't a PHISH email. Example service emails are:

  • Initial invites

  • Passphrase reset

  • Goals and Nudges

  • Learning campaign reminders

What is the change I need to make?

We suspect for most customers these changes will be transparent and not require any changes. Updates to existing allow list will only be required if you have explicitly allow listed our existing dedicated IP address or url for links for service email.

Existing configuration:

  • IP Address: 167.89.38.249

  • Tracking link: u3114074.ct.sendgrid.net

New configuration:

  • IP Addresses

    • 3.248.23.219

    • 52.209.90.84

  • Tracking link: l.cybsafe.com

Why are you making changes?

Follow on from our migration of PHISH email in June 2024, we have found great benefit, reliability and visibility. We now want to bring these advantages to our service email to continue improving the reliability of our platform.

What changes are you making?

IP address update

  • We’re migrating service to our secure cloud hosted on AWS, the same infrastructure already in use for PHISH emails. This has resulted in a new list of IP addresses that require allow listing.

Link tracking

  • The existing u3114074.ct.sendgrid.net URL used for links will be retired

  • This will be replaced with https://l.cybsafe.com/ prefix

Can I have more notice?

We're aiming to rule this for existing customer in July. If you which to do this earlier or delay to a specific date please contact the support team at support@cybsafe.com.
