Create a new Doc Type

Adding a Doc Type to your Cycle space is like buying a new shape of Lego, instead of building everything with a 6-hole rectangle brick!

1. Click on the drop-down arrow next to your workspace's name

2. Go to Workspace Settings

3. Click on Doc types

4. Click on the '+' button

5. Type the name of your new Doc Type (e.g. "Improvement")

6. Pick an emoji for your Doc Type

This will help you find your documents quicker when you have many.

7. Add properties to your Doc Type

Properties help you preserve the integrity of your product information by helping you enforce your workflows: for example, Improvements need to have an associated GitHub branch.

Note that you can only link properties that you have already created, If you wish to add a property that does not yet exist, you can do that from the 'Custom Properties' section (below the Doc Types section in the side nav).
