Eligibility
Yes, you can make a donation recommendation to a house of worship such as a church, synagogue, mosque, or temple, as long as it meets the criteria outlined in our Member Agreement.
Houses of worship are typically automatically eligible as tax exempt organizations and many do not file regular paperwork with the IRS. This means they may not show up in our database but are still eligible for a donation recommendation.
Before requesting a house of worship, please make sure you search our database using the house of worship's 9-digit, federal tax ID.
Request a House of Worship
Daffy members who want to make a donation to a house of worship not already in our database, can request we add it by sending us an email (support@daffy.org) with the following information:
Email address associated with your Daffy account (required)
House of worship's name (required)
Please include the legal name if doing business under a different name
House of worship's website (required)
House of worship's 9-digit, federal tax ID or EIN (required)
House of worship's U.S. mailing address (required)
House of worship's contact email address and/or phone number (required)
House of worship's mission statement (optional)
House of worship's description (optional)
Vetting Process & Timeline
📞 Daffy will do its best to contact the house of worship, verify its tax-exempt status, and let you know if we can or cannot add it to our database.
🕰️ The process to add a new charity can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending on how responsive the organization is to Daffy's requests for information.
⏩ To help expedite the vetting, we recommend you contact the house of worship and let them know that Daffy will reach out to them to collect information so we can add them to our platform.
🔴 Delays often occur when a house of worship is unresponsive to Daffy's requests for information.
