Treat foods are those that are high in calories and have no/minimal nutritional value.

How many treat foods can you have?........

ZERO.

This question is worth 1 point! So a 'Yes' answer to this wins you 1 point, a 'No' wins none.

Some examples of such foods:

  • all forms of alcohol (beer, wine and yes - even very good scotch!)

  • popcorn

  • biscuits

  • chips

  • puffed rice

  • dried fruits (raisins, dried figs, dates, apricots etc)

  • nuts (almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashew nuts, pecans etc)

  • all snacks from a packet/box

  • peanuts

  • chaat

  • any food that you are not able to classify elsewhere!

It is impossible to have a full list but hopefully you have understood the logic - foods that offer little nutrition but lots of calories are useless to you! Put differently, any and all loopholes you find and foods you feel guilty about will fall here.
