We crop your photos to the nearest aspect ratio after uploading and you will only be able to offer sizes that fit that aspect ratio. We do this so that your customers can see what the final print crop will look like before purchasing. We do our best to create accurate renderings of the products you display to your customers to align expectations between what they see online and what they receive in the mail.
Here is an example of how this cropping works:
A creator uploads a file that is 4000 x 5200 pixels. Darkroom crops that file to 4000x5000, an aspect ratio of 4:5. The print sizes available for purchase can only match this aspect ratio. Those sizes include 8x10, 12x15, 16x20, 20x25 etc.
