In Gearbelt, you can generate work orders to allocate tasks for your crew to complete.

Follow these steps to create a Work Order:

1. Go to the Work Orders section

2. Click the Add New button

3. Select the asset for the work order

4. Tick the checkboxes next to each task to add them to the work order

5. Choose whether to set a due date and time for the work order

6. Assign the work order to a registered contact

7. Add any additional details in the Instructions, PO Reference, or Comments fields

8. Click Save at the bottom-right corner of the screen

Note

  • Work orders can only include tasks from a single asset

  • Admin users can manually close work order tasks

  • To close a work order, the admin user must change its status to Closed after all tasks are completed

  • Only work orders with all tasks completed are eligible for status updates to Closed

Tip: Work orders can be also created directly from a fault, by selecting a fault and 'Create Work Order'
