Uploading and updating your asset compliance documents in Gearbelt keeps your records current and ensures your equipment meets safety and legal requirements.
This helps avoid fines, reduces downtime, and keeps your team working safely with compliant gear. It is also helpful to have your documents stored in one place, easy to access and share if needed.
To upload and access compliance documents for an asset, follow these steps:
1. Go into the 'Assets' section, select the relevant asset in the list
2. Once in the asset 'Overview' section, select the 'Compliance' tab at the top
3. You'll see a list of all the existing compliance documents, and can upload new ones by selecting the upload icon in the top right corner
4. From there, you can select 'Compliance Document' in the document type dropdown, enter the document name, expiry date, any specific comments and of course upload the file. Once uploaded, select 'Save' in the bottom right corner
5. Once saved, your compliance document and its associated data will appear in your documents list

You can export a register of the uploaded documents, including download links, through the 'Export' icon. This is an easy way to share recorded documents for an asset with clients or collaborators
