Regularly updating your asset readings in Gearbelt is the best way to ensure you're working with the most up-to-date info on your fleet. It helps you stay on top of how equipment is performing, spot any issues early, and plan maintenance - it also ensures that everyone on your team has access to the latest data, reducing errors and safety issues.

To update an asset reading, follow these steps:

1. Access the 'Assets' section under 'Admin' in the left-hand side navigation menu. This will bring you to your register of assets.

2. From there, you can select the relevant asset for which you'd like to update the reading.

Note: You can quickly find the asset(s) you need by using the filters, sorting options, or simply typing some of its information into the search bar. In the above example, a
Tag filter has been applied to bring up all the assets recorded in the same Tag.

3. Once you've selected the asset, you'll be automatically brought to a navigation bar where you'll first see the 'Overview' section. In there, you will see the record of your last asset readings.

4. To update this, navigate to the 'Reading Logs' and click 'Create Reading Log.'

5. A side panel will show up so you can create a Reading Log. Enter the unit and readings, then press 'Save' to save your update.

Note: Each asset reading can only use one metric - either Hours or Mileage.

6. You will see your record at the top of the list of Unit Reading Logs.
