Introduction

A good site induction processes minimises the chance of mistakes, injuries, illnesses and deaths - by making people aware of the specific procedures and rules for this specific site or workplace.

In construction and on many other industrial sites, a person must have a site-specific induction before starting work. This is great for safety and induction protocol, but can be time-consuming and tedious when performed every day or multiple times per day.

Dashpivot streamlines your site inductions by making it easy for inductees to fill out a digital site induction form on computer, mobile or tablet - with smart features like quick digital sign-offs to speed up the process while improving record keeping.

These digital site induction forms are then automatically sent into Dashpivot, where they live in 'the cloud'. Here, all of your site inductions are automatically organised into timeline order for easy traceability, and can also be instantly converted into a register. This saves admin time, improves compliance, and gives you bulletproof induction and safety records which you can rely on.

How it works

Key Features

  • Standardise the induction process across all your projects

  • Automatically generate a register of everyone inducted

  • Ability to quickly filter and search the register to find specific records

  • Ability to export the register to excel if required

Best Practices

  • Include a photo field so that pictures of certifications can be attached where required

  • Use list fields where applicable (eg. company), so that records can quickly be found later, and filter by the list items on any analytics charts

  • Make use of the range of 'checkbox field' options, including Yes/No/NA with comments, where applicable

  • In the template settings, display the inductee's full name on the form thumbnail so that inductions can easily be identified

  • In the template settings, make sure the forms are sorted by the date on the form (and not by the creation date)

Getting started

You can access a Free Site Induction Template from Dashpivot's Template Library. Go to Templates > Add Template > Choose from Free Public Template Library.
