Introduction

Survey requests are used by construction teams to communicate and gather important spatial information from the surveyor or survey team for planning and conformance records, in order for projects to continue as planned.

Dashpivot makes the survey request process simple and quick through smart automation and seamless workflows. Instead of jumping back and forth across fragmented systems like email, word and excel, Dashpivot gives engineers and surveyors all of the tools they need to create and approve survey requests from a single place.

Managing survey requests with Dashpivot removes the back and forth inherent in managing documents and collaboration with multiple systems, and ensure that survey requests and the proceeding work move ahead faster and more safely - with all the necessary documentation and compliance data automatically taken care of in the background by the software.

How it works

Key Features

  • Standardise and clarify your survey request process across your team / workforce, with requests organised into process steps (columns)

  • Setup automated notifications to inform the right person as requests are created in real-time

  • Created, access and complete/sign off requests on site using the Dashpivot mobile app (also available for tablets) - which also works offline

  • See how many requests there are, and when each is due so you can prioritise each request, and organise your work day/week

  • Attach photos on the spot while filling out the form in the app

  • Automatically generate a register of all your Survey Requests

  • Quickly filter and find requests eg. by due date / type

  • Easily see how many requests were created over a specified time period eg. last month

Best Practices

  • Setup your survey request template as a workflows to standardise the process

  • Setup workflow notifications to notify the right person for sign-off at each step

  • Use list fields where applicable (eg. area, type), to make it easy to find records later via the register view, and filter by the list items on any analytics charts

  • In the template settings, make sure the forms are sorted by the date on the form (not the creation date)

  • In the template settings, set the form thumbnail to display the due date, so that its easy to see how many requests there are, and when each is due
