In version 4.12, we are rolling out some new features for the EDC and the CTMS.
New Features
General.
Global Customization - You can now customize the entire platform with your logo and brand colors, not just on a per-study basis. If you choose to set up a logo for an individual study, this customization will take precedence. The logo will be displayed across all patient interfaces, including ePRO, eConsent, Personal Accounts, and all email communications. This enhancement allows you to showcase your brand identity while using Datacapt.
Compliance Opt-ins Translations - You can now translate the compliance opt-in messages presented before participant account creation into more than 85 languages. When participants switch languages, the opt-in messages will be automatically translated accordingly.
Account Creation Opt-ins - We have implemented opt-in consent for account creation that will appear after you have imported all your participants. Now, participants will provide their consent at each stage and for every scenario.
Addons.
Audit-Trails:
File Name - We have enhanced the audit trail export feature by including file names in the CSV export. Now, when you export audit trails, the file names will be included for easier identification and reference.
eCRF.
New Structure Builder - We have deployed a new design for the builder, featuring revamped interfaces that provide a more detailed and complete view of the study structure. This update allows for a more intuitive creation of your study. The study structure can now be conveniently accessed from the left-hand panel at any time.
eCRF Data Validation and Conditions Export - We have enhanced the data dictionary export by including information on data validation and conditional logic. This enhancement is designed to provide you with comprehensive details for your data validation plan or verification process.
Additionally, we have refined the representation of validation rules. Instead of using columns that display '0' and '1', we now provide more detailed descriptions of the configurations you have applied to each item in the builder for your eCRF.
For expressing conditional logic, we have introduced a set of operators:
Equal to: ==
Not Equal to: !=
Less than: <
Greater than: >
Less Than or Equal to: <=
Greater Than or Equal to: >=
For combining multiple conditions, we are now using boolean operators:And: &&
Or: ||
These updates are aimed at making the data dictionary more informative and user-friendly.
eConsent.
No invitation for eConsent - We have introduced a new feature that allows you to create eConsent records without sending an invitation via email or SMS. This is particularly useful for patients who do not have an email address or phone number, or when a patient is present on-site and does not require an electronic invitation. Additionally, this 'no invite' feature can be leveraged if there's no need to send an invitation to the patient.
We plan to enhance this feature in the future by enabling account creation with only a phone number, providing even more flexibility for patients and study coordinators.
General Settings (Study).
Code by Center - We've introduced a new feature that allows you to assign a unique identifier (code) to each center within a study. This enables you to associate centers, already defined in the Datacapt platform, with multiple studies while maintaining distinct codes for each one. The identifier for each center must be unique to the study, contain a maximum of 10 characters, and be composed only of letters and numbers.
Please note that once a center has enrolled patients, its code cannot be changed. If an existing code is assigned to your center, this code will be used consistently throughout your study, in association with the center's abbreviation. Additionally, you now have the ability to search for or filter centers by their unique code.
New Subject ID Pattern - We have implemented a new feature that allows the incorporation of the center code into the subject ID pattern. This enhancement enables the use of the center code as part of the subject ID for your study, ensuring consistent and identifiable coding across different centers.
Recruitment Studies.
From Draft to Live - We have introduced a new logic that automatically deletes all records and payment data from your recruitment study when transitioning from Draft to Live status. This ensures a clean start for the study.
Payment Management.
Bank Account Verification - We have implemented a new feature that allows for bank information verification on a per-center basis. This update enables centers without bank information to complete necessary processes and facilitates the export of all payment records. With this enhancement, you can now activate verification individually for each center, providing a more flexible approach to management and verification.
Payment Error – We have improved the payment error messages to provide more detailed information.
Calendar.
Appointment Public Title - We have introduced a feature that enables you to set a public title for appointments, which will be visible to participants only. This allows you to create appointments with two distinct titles: one for your center's internal use and another for the participant, offering more precise and relevant information for each party.
Booking List - We have introduced the booking list, which provides an overview of all appointments for each day. This list is designed to help you efficiently manage your appointments. It displays the time and duration of each appointment, participant information, and a direct link to their associated study.
