TrafficSurvey Viewer v0.5.48 is here with powerful new features for managing object classes, refining trajectories, and gaining deeper insights into your data. Check out the highlights below!

Dive deeper into traffic flow with the Origin-Destination Analytics feature. Select “Analysis” → “Show Origin-Destination Analytics…” to mark entry and exit regions in your project. A new analytics widget lets you visualize changes over time by object type or direction, while also allowing interactive filtering by these parameters. You can export an XLSX file (including snapshots from the intersection) and even have the program automatically detect peak traffic—with a user-adjustable minor period. This new functionality merges the previous “Origin-Destination Statistics” and “Origin-Destination Flow Graphs” into a single, more powerful output. View OD matrices to uncover critical routes and bottlenecks, giving you actionable insights for more effective traffic planning and decision-making.

Reclassification now comes with bulk editing capabilities. This means you can rapidly adjust multiple trajectories to match a custom schema—such as the one preferred by your traffic engineer—or even define a brand-new class not directly supported by standard video analytics. Just head to “Tracking Log” → “Reclassify Traffic Objects…” and tailor your object types as needed.

We’ve combined these features into a single, streamlined workflow to help you clean up unwanted trajectories based on time or distance criteria. Go to “Tracking Log” → “Delete Trajectories” and select either “Delete Trajectories by Duration” or “Delete Trajectories by Distance.” Quickly remove data outside of your target thresholds, saving both time and storage space.

We’ve reorganized the menu for a more intuitive workflow. Both “Select Track Colours for Types” and “Select Track Colours for Directions” have moved to “Settings” → “Visualisation Settings,” placing all color customization options under one roof.

Additionally, for projects using neutral gates, you can now enable directional colouring under “Select Track Colours for Directions.” This assigns colours to trajectories based on their travel direction, making it easier to spot traffic flow patterns at a glance.

Any annotation you add last will now be automatically loaded when reopening your project. No more manual searching or switching—this enhancement ensures your most recent note or markup is ready to go, making project handoffs or annotation imports more efficient.
