Traffic Lane Data and Traffic Lane Events [NEW]

Written by DataFromSky

The Traffic Lane Events and Traffic Lane Data widgets are automatically created whenever a Multi-traffic Lane (MTL) Operator is initialized. Each widget serves a different purpose: the Traffic Lane Data widget displays aggregated TrafficData, while the Traffic Lane Events widget presents individual TrafficEvents detected within the configured traffic lanes. Both widgets are automatically added to the Dashboard and linked to the MTL operator configuration.

The Traffic Lane Data widget provides periodic lane-level statistics collected from the Traffic Lanes assigned to the MTL operator. These outputs include metrics such as vehicle counts, average speed, occupancy, average vehicle length, per-category counts, and Level of Service (LOS). Data is aggregated over configurable time blocks and published when each block closes.

The Traffic Lane Events widget focuses on discrete traffic occurrences rather than aggregated statistics. It reports events such as Presence, Wrong Way, Slow Trajectory, Stopped Trajectory, Congesting Trajectory, and LOS events. Unlike TrafficData, events are generated whenever the configured conditions are met and are available both through the widget and external interfaces such as the FLOW API, OPC UA, and webhooks.
