Object re-identification is one of the key parts of the automatic video analysis process. A visual-motion descriptor is created for each detected object, which is used to bind partial occurrences to obtain complete trajectories. This makes the analysis resistant to partial or short full occlusions. Re-identification capability is one of the main reasons DataFromSky extracts traffic data with great success.
