These autodrafters include a PAD6 control box and a 5000 indicator (JR5000, ID5000 or XR5000).
Setting up a Prattley autodrafter is a three step process. The first step is to establish a Bluetooth® connection between the 5000 indicator and the PAD6 control box:

This step only needs to be done once.
Subsequent pairing
Once paired, then subsequent pairings should be automatic once you’ve turned the two units on.
To confirm successful connection on subsequent sessions simply:

Establishing a Bluetooth connection
To perform the one off procedure to establish the connection:
Turn ON the indicator (by pressing the indicator On button) and display the Home screen:
If the Bluetooth icon does NOT appear in top left of the screen, you need to proceed with the following steps.
Press Settings > Next page > Connections > Bluetooth to display a list of detected Bluetooth enabled devices.
Turn Bluetooth ON and enable Auto Connect:
📝 The indicator runs an Auto connect procedure to detect nearby Bluetooth devices, and that initially the PAD6 control box is not listed (as it’s not switched on yet).
Plug in the power to the PAD6 control box and the red lights flicker and then settle down to its default locked keypad state.
To unlock the keypad, double-tap the AUTO SETUP button repeatedly until the KEYLOCK light turns off.
💡 Once unlocked, work quickly or the keypad will automatically lock again.Hold down the AUTO SETUP button until the MODE lights start blinking. This indicates that the PAD6 is in pairing mode, searching for nearby devices.
After a few seconds, the indicator will detect the PAD6 and list it as Available:
Select the PAD6 in the list, press the ENTER button, then choose Connect from the menu:
The PAD6 will be connected:
Also, on the Home screen the indicator will display a Bluetooth connected symbol and the PAD6 will have the SCALES light illuminated to indicate that the two units are paired:
The PAD6 control box and indicator are now paired up and ready to operate on your next drafting session.
