When you first set up a WOW system, you should check to see that the EID antenna is correctly reading tags. This process can also be performed as part of troubleshooting if you suspect that the antenna is not reading tags reliably.

To check that EID tags are being read:

  1. Position yourself next to the WOW system.

  2. Go into your mobile phone settings and check that Wi-Fi is set to On.

  3. From the list of available networks, select RemoteWOW and enter the password trutestRemoteWOW.

  4. Open a browser (e.g. Google or Safari) and type 192.168.50.1 into the address bar.

This will launch the Datamars WOW Configuration app:

5. Scroll down to Last RFID.

6. Position an EID tag near the EID antenna and confirm that you can see the EID number in the Last RFID field.

7. If no EID appears, check that the EID antenna is plugged in correctly.

8. Turn off all other electronic equipment (other EID readers within 50 m, electric fence energizers, irrigators, milk pumps, etc) and repeat the test. If the EID tag is read, there is an electrical interference issue to be resolved. Contact the support team (see below).
