Using an activity action list

Use an Activity Action List to select a sub-set of animals from the Activity report

Updated over 3 months ago

Within the Activity report, you can create an action list. The Activity Action List consists of one or more rules, allowing you to quickly select a subset of animals for follow-up actions. An Activity Action List must be created in the Datamars Livestock web app, not the mobile app.

To create an Activity Action List rule:

  1. Click on Activity.

  2. Under Activity action list, click + Add new rule.

  3. Apply criteria.
For example, you could create a rule to select animals which have recently calved (fresh cows) and are ruminating for more than 500 minutes a day. This may indicate that they are ready to move to a new group or pen.

📝 If you have more than one rule, the Activity Action List will combine all animals selected by the various rules together in one place.

You can then use the Activity Action List as the basis to draft and check animals (see below).

Drafting animals

Draft animals and check them using your normal methods e.g. Check the condition of drafted animals to make sure they are ready to transition to the milking herd.
