The Canadian DAT is online-exam that is offered all year-round starting in March 2022. When taking the exam, the following is how the exam is scheduled/formatted:
Manual Dexterity (Not currently being offered)) - You're given 30 minutes to carve 1 soap pattern.
The Survey of Natural Sciences - You're given 60 minutes to complete 40 Biology and 30 Chemistry questions.
The Perceptual Ability Test - You're given 60 minutes to complete 90 questions perceptual ability questions.
The Reading Comprehension Test - You're given 60 minutes to read 3 passages (1200-1500 words each) and complete 50 questions reading comprehension questions.
Between each of the above sections, you are given a 15 minutes break where everyone leaves the room. However, depending on the testing center, you might have a slightly longer break based on the amount of time it takes the instructors to setup for the next section.
Note: The Canadian DAT was a paper-exam prior to 2022. This is no longer the case.
