The Sunbit payment path sends clients a real-time pre-qualification link, opening the door to payment plan conversations that improve patient care and capture revenue that might otherwise be lost. Clients can move forward with the care their pets need, and your clinic captures revenue that might otherwise walk out the door.

Pre-Qualification from a Client Profile

πŸ’‘ Tip: No minimum balance is required to start a pre-qualification from the client profile, making it useful for exploring payment options with clients over the phone before an appointment. Send the pre-qualification link by text or email so the client can begin the process right away.

⚠️ Please Note: If an active pre-qualification already exists, it will be displayed under the client's name on their profile and there will not be a Payment Plans option because they are already pre-qualified.

  1. Open the client's profile. The Payment Plans option will appear next to the balance field

  2. If there is no active pre-qualification, click Payment Plans to begin the process

  3. Click Next

  4. Confirm the client's phone number and email, which auto-populate from their file. Ask the client whether they prefer to receive the pre-qualification link by text or email. Check the consent box

  5. Click Send Link

What the Client Sees

The client will receive a link via text message or email and can go through the pre-qualification process. The user will see in live time the step the client is on within the Sunbit dialog.

After confirming their details and verifying their email, the client sees the total pre-qualified amount and the available plans, which include loan length, monthly payment, interest information, and total cost. The client selects a plan at the time of checkout.

πŸ’‘ Tip: The clinic user can leave the Sunbit dialog and easily return to the same spot by clicking the Payment Plans button next to the Balance field.

Where Pre-Qualification Details Display

After a client is pre-qualified, the following information is visible on the top left of the estimate, the top left of the invoice, On the payment dialog and under the client's name on their profile.

  • Sunbit qualification status

  • Maximum loan amount

  • Pre-qualified expiration date

Pre-Qualification from an Estimate or Invoice

πŸ’‘ Tip: Estimates are an ideal time to start the payment plan conversation, since clients often decline items or services at this stage.

⚠️ Important: The Payment Plans option is only available when the estimate or invoice has a minimum balance of $60.

  1. Open the estimate or invoice. If the balance is under $60, the Payment Plans option will not appear

  2. Add services or items until the total reaches at least $60. The Payment Plans option will then appear next to the total amount

  3. Click Payment Plans and select Next to start

  4. Select Text or Email to send the link, check the consent box and click Send Link

What the Client Sees

Once the link is sent, the client begins the quick pre-qualification process on their device. You'll see each step in real time, which allows you to help guide them through any questions.
