We have updated DaySmart Vet and DaySmart Rec to accept 3D Secure (3DS) authentication transactions through Stripe.
3DS is a two-factor authentication method issued by banks to verify the legitimacy of transactions.
During a user-initiated transaction, 3DS transactions will show a confirmation that you can verify with the customer.
The customer will need to confirm the transaction via a notification from their bank.
Since 3DS requires the customer to be present to accept the confirmation, cards that require 3DS for recurring automatic transactions, such as Wellness Plans, will automatically fail and be marked as a failed payment. The clinic will need to follow up on these failed payments.
