π Overview
Bank account verification confirms that your company owns the bank account connected to payroll before any funds are withdrawn to pay workers or tax authorities. You can verify your bank account instantly through Plaid or manually through micro-deposits.
π Viewing Your Company Bank Account
You are prompted to provide your company's bank account information during onboarding under the Verify company bank account step.
Once your bank account has been entered, the account number is masked for security purposes and only the last four digits are displayed.
To view your bank account details:
Navigate to your Profile page.
Click Edit under Employer bank accounts.
The next drawer will display your bank account information with the last 4 digits of the account number. Click Edit on the bank account record for additional details.

π Verifying Your Bank Account with Plaid
Plaid is a third-party service that allows you to instantly verify and connect your company bank account to payroll. When adding a new bank account, Plaid is the first verification option presented and removes the need for manual micro-deposit verification.
To verify using Plaid:
When adding a new bank account, click the Add with Plaid button.
Search for the name of your bank. A popup window will appear where you will enter your bank username and password.
β οΈ Important: You may receive a verification code via text message to complete the login.
Once logged in, select the account you want to connect for payroll.
After successfully connecting through Plaid, your bank routing and account number will automatically populate in the bank account card.
Click Save at the bottom of the card.
π Once your bank account has been successfully connected through Plaid, no further verification steps are required.
π οΈ Verifying Your Bank Account with Micro-Deposits
If Plaid is not available for your bank or you prefer manual verification, you can verify your bank account using micro-deposits. This method takes 1 to 2 business days.
Here is how micro-deposit verification works:
After you enter your bank account details and initiate verification, three transactions will be sent to your account: two small credits (deposits) and one debit that removes the two credits. Each transaction will be under $1.
These transactions will appear in your bank account within 3 business days.
Once the deposits appear, return to your bank account setup through your onboarding dashboard and enter the exact amount of each deposit to confirm ownership.
If the amounts match, your bank account will be verified.
β οΈ If you are unable to complete micro-deposit verification, you can submit a photo of your ID and a voided check from the bank account to support for manual verification.

Try the following steps:
If two-factor authentication is required, check your mobile number for a verification code and enter it when prompted.
If your browser is auto-filling login credentials, make sure the correct bank is selected before entering your information.
If you receive an error when attempting to log in, try clearing your browser cache and attempting the process again.
If you cannot remember your bank login credentials, follow your bank's password reset process. Login credentials for Plaid are the same as your online banking credentials and are managed directly by your bank.
