Is my EV Compatible?

Here you will find information about if your EV support V2H (vehicle to home) and V2G (Vehicle to Grid)

Updated over 5 months ago

You can DC-charge any electric vehicle using grid power or solar energy (if you have solar panels installed) with dcbel.

Whether your EV can provide bidirectional features—such as powering your home during a blackout—depends on the vehicle’s charging standard and the manufacturer’s support for this capability. Today, the most common models that offer bidirectional power ‘out of the box’ are the Nissan Leaf (2013 and newer) and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Recently, the 2025 Volvo EX90 and Polestar 3 have joined the list.

dcbel is actively partnering with automakers to bring this functionality to more drivers. We’re excited about the growing number of bidirectional-ready vehicles coming to market soon!

As charging standards evolve, dcbel hardware will seamlessly adapt to new bidirectional protocols through a simple over-the-air update.
