No. dcbel Ara is a home energy station that already includes a built-in solar inverter.
As we prepare to support a wide range of use cases, we have determined that integrating Ara with an existing solar system introduces additional complexity and cost. In many cases, it would require adding a second, redundant solar generation system, which can create challenges related to warranty coverage, financing, permitting, and overall system management.
Because of this, customers with existing solar installations are not considered ideal candidates for a dcbel Home Energy Station at this time.
What are my options?
Replace your existing system: This would involve removing your current solar installation entirely. However, this is generally not recommended unless your system has reached the end of its useful life.
Use Ara as a V2X charger only: We plan to offer this option in the future, allowing Ara to function without solar integration. However, this is not a short-term priority as we remain focused on delivering our fully integrated solar and bidirectional EV charging solution.
Will this be supported in the future?
We are actively working toward supporting a broader range of configurations, including homes with existing solar systems.
If you have already placed a deposit, you will remain on our waiting list, and we will keep you informed as new options become available.
